VOLUNTEERS
At Harbour Ayrshire, our volunteers are the beating heart of everything we do. They are a dedicated and compassionate group of people with lived experience, who give their time and energy to show others that change is possible. Their commitment inspires hope and creates a sense of belonging for those taking their first steps towards recovery.
We believe in our volunteers and invest in them through mentoring, training, and personal development opportunities, helping each person grow in confidence and skills.
Our aim is to support volunteers into meaningful employment, either within Harbour Ayrshire or with other supportive employers. When someone moves into work, their volunteer role is opened up to someone currently receiving Harbour support — creating a positive cycle of opportunity, growth, and empowerment.
Our vision is to see people who were once ‘written off’ becoming valued, self-supporting members of their communities, rebuilding family relationships, and inspiring others through their example.
