R.I.P. Ritchie

Harbour Staff and Volunteers are deeply saddened by the loss of not only one of our fellow volunteers, but one of our dear friends “Ritchie Bryden”.

Ritchie played a major part within our Harbour family and volunteered in 3 different services, he facilitated our men’s group in Kilmarnock supporting 12 – 15 men per week, he volunteered in the community support vehicle helping families in crisis move to their forever home and he was one of our “Harbour Buddies” supporting men through their rehab journeys.

All of our volunteers and staff loved Ritchie dearly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to Denise and Hollie and Ritchie’s wider family and friends.

We are so thankful for the memories we all have with Ritchie and are blessed to have had him in our lives. Rest In Peace our brother Ritchie.

ARIA Funding Helps Harbour Grow

We are delighted to have received funding from the Aria Fund (Ayrshire Rural and Islands Ambition fund) to allow the Charity to expand it’s support into the Garnock Valley.

This wonderful support has funded the role of Recovery Practitioner to provide support in the Garnock Valley area covering Dalry, Kilbirnie and Beith to people who are affected by drug and/or alcohol addiction and will see the formation of weekly group support sessions and 1:1 support.

Many thanks for the funding to everyone at the Aria Fund

One Year Milestone

We would like to congratulate our wee “Linda” (who volunteers at our EmpowerHer women’s group in Ayr) on reaching an incredible milestone in her recovery journey of 1 whole year continuous sobriety

Linda is one of our Harbour Ayrshire’s first few volunteers who helped to set the EmpowerHer Women’s Group and this group supports between 12 -15 women per week, Linda is a huge asset to the group and the ladies all love her. Well done Linda from your Harbour team

Harbour Dream Team Meets the Young Team

Four of our “Harbour Ladies” were delighted to be invited to talk to the young people and staff at SL33 today.

Harbours own “Dream Team” – Stef, Sophie, Candice and Vicki were thrilled to meet ”the young team” and received a very warm welcome.

We look forward to collaborating with the SL33 Team moving forward. Well done ladies!

Jennifer is Just the Job!

We would like to congratulate one of our much loved volunteers “Jennifer” on gaining employment as a Night Care Worker within Phoenix Futures Residential Rehab in Harper House, Saltcoats.

Jennifer volunteers at our “Women’s Wellbeing” Group in Irvine and it’s been a pleasure to watch her grow in her recovery journey. Well done Jennifer from all of your Harbour Crew.
