HARBOUR HERO AWARDS 2023

Harbour Ayrshire held their first ever Annual Harbour Hero Awards night at the Carlton Hotel in Prestwick and what a night it was! Our lived experience volunteers are the mainstay of our organisation and our awards ceremony was ALL about them and the hardwork and dedication they put in to our charity. We laughed , we cried , and we celebrated our first year of achievements together. Here are our individual award winners ;

VOLUNTEERS GO TO COLLEGE

We would like to congratulate 2 of our much loved volunteers Evan and Brendan on their recent unconditional offers into College. Evan will be attending Ayrshire College – Ayr Campus to begin his HNC in Social Services. Brendan will be attending Ayrshire College – Ayr Campus to begin the Peer Support Programme through ADP.

18 MONTHS MILESTONE

We would like to congratulate one of our much loved Volunteers “Jennifer” on reaching an incredible milestone of 18 months total abstinence from all mind and mood altering substances. Jennifer volunteers at our Wellbeing- 4-Women group in Irvine and she has been an amazing support to the women who attend the group, we are so grateful to have her at Harbour Ayrshire

We would like to congratulate one of our much loved Volunteers and Trainee Addiction Worker “Stef” on reaching an incredible milestone of 6 months continuous sobriety and freedom from all mood and mind altering substances.

NEW HARBOUR VEHICLE

Everyone meet “Bill”! This vehicle will be escorting our Recovery Practitioner Stacey and our Trainee Addiction Worker Stef around the length and breadth of Ayrshire to our supported people who are looking for a “new way of life” Don’t forget to give “Bill” a wave when you see him!
